Festivals Economic Impact study

Today sees the launch of a major new Economic Impact Study which demonstrates the amazing power of the Edinburgh Festivals.  And as with reports like this, there’s a bunch of data and so we’re excited that we’ve partnered up with the Guardian’s Data Blog to see what might be done with it.

Click here to see their introduction to the data and also also to download the data itself.

Festivals Edinburgh recruiting Head of Marketing & Innovation

Festivalsedinburgh

As you may know, all of the work here at festivalslab is part of Festivals Edinburgh, the strategic body that works for and with the twelve Edinburgh Festivals.

The secret hero behind much of our work is Martin Reynolds who is the outgoing Head of Marketing for Festivals Edinburgh – Martin has done so much to support and drive the innovation work at the festivals and we owe him a great debt of gratitude as when he moves onto the next exciting chapter of his career later this spring.

So as we wish Martin all the best, what this also means is that Festivals Edinburgh is now recruiting for its role of Head of Marketing & Innovation – by far one of the most exciting roles in arts management in Scotland if not the UK.

Salary is £40-45k and applications close fairly soon on April 18th.  To find out more, visit http://www.edinburghfestivals.co.uk/jobs for the full details.

Good luck!
