The twelve festivals which comprise Festivals Edinburgh and therefore festivalslab are:

The Festivals are a world-leading cultural brand and together help make Edinburgh the world’s festival city. They are economic powerhouses, forums for international debate, creators of celebration and cohesion and above all cultural platforms which present and showcase the best of the world’s creative and intellectual talent.

And they have some impressive stats:

• - Each year they attract 4 million attendees, 20,000 artists, performers and thinkers together with 2000 accredited media.
• - A 2004/05 economic impact study (currently being updated) showed that for every £1 invested from the public purse, £61 is generated for Scotland, an economic impact of £183 million.
• - Seven festivals take place in August alone and in 2010 together they sold over 2.5 million tickets with hotel accommodation at 93% occupancy.
• - The festivals deliver an advertising campaign for the city equivalent to a £11.5m spend and have a strong international and local attendee base with 69% of audiences from Scotland
