Learning events, writing & speaking

festivalslab is a testing ground for the whole culture sector and so it has been important that we share our learning.  Therefore alongside all the toolkits, guides and open source code that we have made available we have also shared our learning as:

Through our partnership with Ambition Scotland, we have hosted four learning events including webinars and workshops on the topics of open data and service design.

The blog on this website has hosted regular articles and project updates.  We have also written pieces for the Guardian Cultural Professionals  Network such as this piece on service design which was the most shared of their articles on social media in 2011

We have spoken about our experiences and insights across the UK (AMA 2011 & 2012, Showcase Northern Ireland, Glasgow School of Art, Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium, Shift Happens) and internationally (South By SouthWest Interactive 2011 & 2012, Dutch Ministry of Culture Inaugural Conference, British Council Global Arts Meeting and British Council Cultural Leadership International)

The Edinburgh Festivals have been recognised as leaders in cultural innovation and the only Scottish example in 19 best practice case studies in a recent report by the Dutch Ministry of Culture.
